Heighten Awareness is an affirming social justice & witness ministry committed to answering the call to educate, organize, and empower congregations for social and

political advocacy  effecting positive change in communities across the nation.

The ministry leader, believes information and education are the keys to empowering he body of Christ and use its voice to advocate and influence

positive changes for the betterment of all people in our society.

​DESCRIPTION OF MINISTRY

The social justice & witness ministry of the Glory to Glory Christian Church-United Church of Christ is a part of the Justice & Witness ministry (JWM) of the United Church of

Christ national organization. Here we equip local congregations to answer GOD’s call to effect positive advocacy and changes; through education and information about

legislation and government policies that may affect our communities. This information will help congregations to take action and hold our elected officials accountable
to the people that keep our society moving forward.

 

Congregations will receive information from various sources whether it be: e-blast, announcements, flyers, the Heighten Awareness newsletter (coming soon) and on the

church website.  Member of the church will be ask to help support causes that will have a positive impact in our communities, and sends a message of solidarity and unity

to our elected official on every level of government.
